Four Ways to Help Your Website Stand Out to the Passing Traffic

Internet traffic is the flow of data across the internet. If you think about it as if it were a highway system, it would go a little like this: you approach the junction that you will be using to get on the highway, so this is the search engine; you enter into the stream of traffic that’s already there and go about your business, in other words you find the website you had intended to visit, whether that be for social, domestic or leisure reason; you then stay on that site, or sites comparable to it, for an amount of time that has made your eyes hurt, comparable to feeling tired when driving; you then pull over into a service station to rest, which is the time when you begin to browse the web, not really looking for anything in particular, just something to see your mind off the final lap of the journey you are about to embark on.

See, you’re a part of the traffic just as much as the internet users that you are trying to attract to your website. It is at the point where your fellow users are at the last stage, the resting stage, where you must dip your hook into the water; and that’s enough metaphors for one article, let alone a paragraph. Here are four ways that you can attract tiring internet users to your website.

Managing SEO

Search engine optimisation, commonly known as SEO, is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine’s results. In other words, it’s a hugely important component in getting your website out there and in the online public eye. Make sure to check out this example of a firm that deals with managed seo.

Social Media Sorcery

By using social media to your advantage, i.e. using relevant hashtags and uploading relevant content, you can attract a whole host of users. How to use Twitter to market, for instance, is to build your followers through the relevant posts, and then by continuing to keep your content helpful and also entertaining in order to keep the followers there. You then must drive said followers to your website, no where else, but your website. Even if you do want to drive them somewhere else, drive them to your website first, and then if needs be on from there. Make sure to see further practices of social media sorcery here!

Blog Like Crazy

Attempting to blog for your business’s website is no easy task; click here for advice on how to do so. And if it doesn’t indeed too hard of a task, invite other, more notable and influential names in your field, to guest blog. To do that however, you may have to perform a lot of excessive flattering.

No Delusions of Grandeur
