It’s beneficial for businesses of all sizes to create a Facebook page. However, it isn’t enough to simply create the page and hope that the followers will come. If you want to get Facebook right, here’s how to nail it:
Post At The Right Times
For any social media platform, you need to make sure you’re posting at the right times. This can vary depending on which social platform you’re using. When it comes to Facebook, the best times are as follows:
- 12:00-1:00 pm on weekends.
- 3:00-4:00 pm on Wednesdays.
- 1:00-4:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
Of course you can post at other times, and you should to make a note of when your own audience are most active. You might find other times and days most responsive, so make sure you check it out.
Target Your Audience
Make sure you’re targeting your audience correctly. You need to know exactly who your audience are, what they want, and what they don’t want. This allows you to target your campaign to them with the words you use, images, and everything else you put on your Facebook page. You should also make sure you’re targeting your audience and keywords in any paid Facebook ads you decide to do.
Connect Facebook To Your Website and Vice Versa
The key to getting more traffic on your own website is connecting it to Facebook. By making sure people can get to your Facebook from your website and vice versa, you’ll get so much more traffic. You then just have to make sure your website is designed in a way that encourages that traffic to work with you. Get a free website review if you’re unsure of yours!
Share Content Regularly
Make sure you’re sharing content regularly. This should just be your own blogs and vlogs, but other useful blogs and things that could help your audience too. Make sure everything you share is relevant and suits your brand.
Be Social Not Promotional
The idea of social media is to be social, not promotional. Of course you can be promotional here and there, but you should be social the majority of the time. Make sure you’re posting things to get a response from your audience, and interacting with them too.
Answer Followers In A Timely Manner
If you get any questions from your audience, or even comments, make sure your respond to them in a timely manner. Everyone wants to feel like they’ve been heard, so make sure you reply, even if it’s just with a thank you! This will make a big difference and encourage other people to leave their positive feedback too. Don’t panic if you get negative feedback. You can’t please everybody. Do try to rectify the problem in the most professional way.
Post Great Pictures
Pictures make it all the more likely that an audience member is going to open up a post you’ve shared, or click on your page. Post high quality, relevant images to go with the rest of your content.
One thing social media is absolutely brilliant for, is hosting competitions. Hosting competitions on Facebook could get you so much more exposure. You could even go viral. Make sure you come up with great ideas and fair ways for your audience to win them.
